San Francisco Residents!
This summer is bustling with improvements in and around Quintara St. and West Portal Ave. Many hands make light work, it seems, as preparations are underway for a Sewer, Water and Paving project. This is intended not only to have an aesthetic appeal but to improve infrastructure and safety for area residents. There will be several agencies working together on this extensive project that will include:
*water main installation on West Portal Ave.
*sewer main work on West Portal Ave between 14th Ave and 15th Ave and at the intersection of West Portal Ave and Uloa St
*bulb-out installations on West Portal Ave at Vicente St.
*new curb ramps along the project limits
*paving two parking lots within the project limits
*repaving along muni tracks
*roadway resurfacing on West Portal Ave.
The renewal of these infrastructures is expected to entail several phases which will be spread out through 16 months. The City advises that Parking may be scarce during construction on the Avenues between 14th and 15th at Ulloa and West Portal.
Fun Fact: There are over three hundred coffee houses within the city boundaries of San Francisco.
